Hi,

I’ve just put an release on the server. This release updates the version number to 1.0.0.32 and includes a series of internal bug fixes. To maintain the bi-monthly release strategy I had to back out a couple of major changes that I had hoped to get out with this release. I expect to have those changes complete over the next few days and will definately include them in the next scheduled release for July 31.

In the next version you can expect to see a Time Management tab that allows you to record the time you’ve spent on your projects, a reporting component for that Time Management. Something you won’t see in the next release is an internal compression strategy. This will hopefully reduce the size of any new items added to MissingLink.

As always you should be notified of the latest release.

Please let me know if you have any issues.

Hi,

First of all I wanted to say a big thank you to everyone that responded to my email request for information. I appreciate all of your feedback.

I have just posted a new release to MissingLink Project Center. This release includes the following:

1. A major feature addition of adding tasks now to projects.
2. Now you can select to check for updates to MissingLink Project Center via a web proxy. This information can be found in the Configure Updates menu option.
3. Minor bug fixes around the installation of the system.

I am going to be continuing work on the requested new features, beginning with the inclusion of Appointments to projects.

Thank you again.

Hi,

I’ve also just put the latest version up on our server. If you are currently running MissingLink, you can automatically update your system by going to the MissingLink->Check for Updates menu item. At that point you should be prompted with a message indicating you are running the latest version or a question whether or not your would like to download the latest update.

The version 1.0.0.12 includes the following updates:

1. A major re-write to the interface. It now incorporates a tabbed dialog and a more traditional Outlook look and feel to the project data.
2. A project status field. This field is displayed in the tree view listing of your projects and allows you to instantly see and monitor any projects which you categorize are in trouble. The valid states of a projects are: Green, Yellow or Red. There is a traffic light image on the Project Summary tab which indicates your selection.

I am continuing to work on other changes and welcome any and all suggestions for improvements.
